In the first part of the interview, Aurelio Rico Lopez III discussed his writing journey. This time, he talks about all his latest books and his plans for the following year.

We need updates! Can you tell us about your latest books?

Aurelio Rico Lopez IIIRare (Terror Tract Publishing) is about a group of friends who go on a trip to the wilderness. Things take a turn for the worst when they realize a monstrous wild animal is stalking them.

Aurelio Rico Lopez IIIFood for the Crows (Stitched Smile Publications) is back in circulation! I’ve always wondered what would happen if the zombie apocalypse were to finally hit the Philippines. This novella is based on that scenario.

Aurelio Rico Lopez IIIFar Out (Wild Hunt Press) is a sci-fi/horror story. A meteor crashes in the middle of a forest. This isn’t just any ordinary space rock, and four strangers are about to find out just how alien it is.

Aurelio Rico Lopez IIIA Predisposition for Madness (Hybrid Sequence Media) is my latest collection of dark poetry.

All these books are available on Amazon.

What is your upcoming graphic novel about? How excited are you about it?

A few of my books are being adapted for graphic novelization. I can’t reveal much about it yet, but I am extremely stoked. The first book should be available early next year.

Can you share with us your 3 recommended horror books and your top 3 movie adaptations?

Oooh, that’s tough.

Let me see. Off the top of my head, I’d recommend reading The Collection by Bentley Little, The Traveling Vampire Show by Richard Laymon, and Live Girls by Ray Garton.

As for movie adaptations, The Shawshank RedemptionThe Ritual, and The Last Man on Earth, starring Vincent Price.

What can we expect from you next year? Plans?

I am working on a few projects right now, including a haiku collection and a brand new novella. Hopefully, I can dish out more horror for readers. Fingers crossed.

We hope you’re excited as we are for Aurelio Rico Lopez III’s upcoming projects. There will be graphic novelizations of his previous works and, of course, brand-new books. Expect Gully Books to give you the latest updates on all these.

Happy Halloween, everyone!
